Most institutional clients have been asked, for years, to choose: speed or transparency, price improvement or auditability, automation or control. We disagree with the premise. Drovix for Hedge Funds is built on the belief that a professional desk should not have to compromise on any of them.
Today we are introducing the Drovix institutional client portal — an operational layer purpose-built for hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, and qualified counterparties who expect their infrastructure to keep up with their thesis, not the other way around.
What Drovix for Hedge Funds brings together
The portal consolidates the operational surfaces that institutional desks usually stitch together from five vendors and a spreadsheet:
- Real-time portfolio and margin visibility across every account and venue.
- Strategy-level performance monitoring, attribution, and drawdown decomposition.
- Execution quality and latency analytics, including roundtrip distributions and venue-level slippage.
- Venue and liquidity health tracking, with automated flagging of degraded pools.
- Risk exposure, VaR, drawdown, and a multi-party approvals workflow for limits and overrides.
- Institutional document vault and compliance reporting — onboarding, ISDA, KYB, MIFID-style audit trails.
It is, deliberately, not a retail trading screen with extra panels bolted on. It is the system of record for how a professional desk runs.

Why the infrastructure matters more than the interface
Anyone can build a dashboard. Very few teams can build the engine that sits underneath one without compromise. The reason a Drovix RFQ comes back faster, with a tighter spread, and survives the worst minute of a CPI print is not a UI decision — it is an infrastructure decision we made years ago and have refused to dilute since.
Written in C++, end to end
The Drovix matching engine, market-data fan-out, smart order router, and risk pre-trade gate are implemented in modern C++ on pinned cores, with lock-free data structures and zero-allocation hot paths. We do not ship a Java tier that we later quietly forget to optimise. We do not sit a Python service in front of latency-sensitive logic and call it microservices. The result is single-digit-microsecond internal latency budgets, deterministic GC-free behaviour, and a tail that does not blow out during news.
Aeron for transport
Inter-process and cross-host messaging inside Drovix runs over Aeron — the reliable UDP and IPC transport originally built for the high-end electronic trading community. Aeron gives us reliable multicast, archive-replay for deterministic recovery, and back-pressure semantics that survive a 10× burst without dropping a tick. When a venue floods us, our slowest consumer does not become everyone's problem.

ONNX-served ML for price construction
Drovix runs its market-making and price-improvement models as ONNX runtime graphs co-located with the order book, not as REST calls to a far-away inference cluster. Models are trained off-line on years of order-book microstructure and trained-from-scratch latency-aware features, then exported to ONNX and served on the same machine that prints quotes. That collapses inference latency to the order of tens of microseconds and, more importantly, lets us continuously evaluate model quality against live execution outcomes.
This is why our B2B spreads on the institutional book are structurally tighter than what is achievable with a single-LP RFQ desk: we are not just choosing the best of N quotes, we are pricing a stochastic distribution of the next several seconds and adjusting in real time.
What we expect institutional clients to feel
More transparency. More control. More confidence — across execution, risk, and operations. Not as a tagline, but as a set of artefacts you can audit: a TCA timeline you can replay, a margin tree you can drill into, a risk override that requires two signatures and writes itself into the journal.
Drovix is not just a platform interface. It is the foundation for how we think institutional trading infrastructure should operate: fast, clear, measurable, and built for scale.
Part of a larger system
Drovix for Hedge Funds is one face of a connected institutional ecosystem we are building: a liquidity layer, a risk-technology layer, and an execution-intelligence layer that share the same engine, the same clock, and the same audit trail. Each layer is useful in isolation — together they are the kind of infrastructure that should already exist for professional financial markets, and now does.
Access
Drovix for Hedge Funds is available to qualified institutional counterparties on an invite basis. If your desk would benefit from a single, auditable, low-latency operating surface across execution, risk, and operations, write to institutional@drovix.com or speak to your existing Drovix relationship manager.
